Can you get a job as a firefighter in California if you have a medical marijuana card?

Im currently a senior in high school, I want to become a firefighter and Im currently on the right path(fire explorers, planning on getting a degree in fire science after high school). I also enjoy marijuana though. Ive researched this for at least an hour but I cant seem to get a clear answer. I understand that your name is put into a system that can be checked by employers and your polygraphed when you're interviewed. Can you legally be discriminated against/not get a job in the fire department if you have a medical cannabis card?
