Does a "Dalmation party" sound cute for a first birthday?

My youngest will be 1 in August and I've started brainstorming. My older son (3) is obsessed with firetrucks and anything fireman. I thought this theme for my baby would be cute, the firehouse dog and maybe some fireman theme to it too (husband is a volunteer firefighter, by the way). Does this sound cute? Any ideas for activities with this theme?
