I like him... I want to ask him out.... But I have no way to talk to him. What do I do? Heres the story.?

K.. Well I met this kid in class. We both just finished school though and I started liking him ohh I say a few days before school got out. I talked to him a few times at school. But never got his number. Well I finnaly got my courage up to write on his wall on FB. Im really really shy and nervous around guys so I just asked about some wildland firefighter classes. Well he hasnt written back and its been a week. I dont know if he see's the message because I know he gets on FB through his Ipod. Im not sure what to do now? I know people who know him. But not too well so I dont know if they would ask him to come hang out with us. I really like him and would love to talk to him more I just dont know how. I guess I could IM him but i dont know if I can get the courage up and i dont know if he can get IM's on his ipod. What should I do?? Thanks :)
